Vacancy Details

Wipro has not declared a specific number of vacancies for either programme, which is common for large IT recruiters who hire in bulk based on business requirements. Both the Elite NLTH and WILP drives are conducted at a national level, and selected candidates are placed across Wipro’s offices in various cities. Aspirants from all eligible streams across India may apply, subject to meeting the criteria mentioned below.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Wipro Elite NLTH: BE / BTech (all branches as per notification), and as per recent cycles, BCA, MCA and BSc graduates may also be considered. Candidates should ideally be from the 2024, 2025 or 2026 passing-out batches, as specified in the official notification.
  • Wipro WILP: BCA or BSc graduates in eligible streams such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Electronics or Physics. Candidates must have studied Core Mathematics as one subject during graduation.
  • A minimum of 60% or 6.0 CGPA in graduation is generally required.
  • Typically, only one backlog is permitted at the time of the online assessment, which must be cleared as per the conditions stated by Wipro.
  • Full-time degrees are required; part-time, correspondence or distance-learning graduation degrees are usually not accepted (open/distance education may be allowed for 10th and 12th only).

Age Limit

Wipro has not prescribed a specific upper age limit for these freshers programmes. Eligibility is primarily based on the passing-out batch and academic performance rather than age. As Wipro is a private-sector employer, the SC/ST/OBC/PwD age-relaxation rules applicable to government recruitment do not apply here; however, Wipro follows an inclusive and equal-opportunity hiring policy. Candidates are advised to read the official notification for any specific conditions.

Application Fee

  • There is no application fee for applying to Wipro Elite NLTH or WILP.
  • This applies to all categories, including General, OBC, SC, ST and PwD candidates.

Salary / Pay Scale

For the Elite NLTH programme, the Project Engineer Trainee role offers a base CTC of around Rs. 3.5 lakh per annum. High performers may be offered the Elite category (around Rs. 6.5 LPA) or the Turbo role (up to Rs. 10 LPA), subject to performance in the selection process.

For WILP, candidates join as Scholar Trainees and receive a monthly stipend along with a joining bonus while completing a Wipro-sponsored higher degree. As per recent details, the stipend begins at approximately Rs. 15,000 per month (plus ESI) in the first year with a joining bonus of around Rs. 75,000, and increases progressively in subsequent years. A service/training agreement of up to 60 months is generally applicable. All figures should be confirmed in the official offer.

Selection Process

  1. Online Assessment: A test covering aptitude, English/verbal ability and written communication; the Elite NLTH test also includes a coding section, while WILP includes an aptitude-based assessment.
  2. Coding / Technical Round: For Elite NLTH, candidates attempt coding problems and a technical interview covering DSA, DBMS, OS and the primary programming language.
  3. Voice / Communication Assessment: Particularly for WILP, a short voice assessment checks communication clarity.
  4. Business Discussion / HR Interview: A final interaction to assess technical interest, suitability and overall fit.
