Vacancy Details
As per the official notification, this drive aims to fill an estimated 5,500 or more Probationary Officer / Management Trainee posts across the participating organisations. Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree (graduation) in any stream from a university recognised by the Government of India, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government. As per the official notification, the degree should be completed on or before the specified cut-off date, with a valid mark-sheet or degree certificate available at the time of registration.
Age Limit
As per the official notification, the minimum age is 20 years and the maximum age is 30 years, reckoned as on the prescribed cut-off date. Age relaxation for reserved categories is as per Government of India norms:
- SC / ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 10 years
- Ex-servicemen and other reserved categories: as per the official notification
Application Fee
The application fee, including intimation charges, is paid online using net banking, debit card, credit card, UPI or any other mode available on the portal. The category-wise fee is given below:
- General / OBC / EWS: Rs. 850/-
- SC / ST / PwBD: Rs. 175/- (intimation charges only)
Once paid, the fee is non-refundable, so candidates should confirm their eligibility before making the payment.
Salary / Pay Scale
Selected candidates are appointed in the Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMGS-I). As per the official notification, the basic pay starts at around Rs. 48,480 in the scale 48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-67160-2680/7-85920. Along with the basic pay, an officer gets Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Special Allowance and other benefits, taking the approximate gross starting salary to around Rs. 82,000 to Rs. 85,000 per month, depending on the place of posting. The actual amount may vary as per the bank’s policy.
Selection Process
The selection is conducted in three stages, and a candidate must clear each stage to move to the next:
- Preliminary Examination (online objective test)
- Main Examination (online objective test with a descriptive English paper)
- Interview / Personality Test conducted by the participating banks
The final merit list is based on marks scored in the Main Examination and the Interview, generally in an 80:20 ratio. Marks of the Preliminary Examination are used only to shortlist candidates for the Mains and do not count in the final merit.

- Scanned passport-size photograph and signature in the prescribed size
- Scanned left thumb impression and a handwritten declaration

- Attempt sectional and full-length mock tests regularly, and review mistakes after each test.
- Work on speed and accuracy together, since the Preliminary stage has sectional timing.
