Vacancy Details
The exact vacancy count will be confirmed only in the official notification. The previous cycle advertised 841 posts: 350 for AAO (Generalist) and 410 for AAO (Specialist) — 30 Chartered Accountant, 10 Company Secretary, 30 Actuarial, 310 Insurance Specialist and 30 Legal — along with 81 Assistant Engineer (Civil/Electrical) posts. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification
- AAO (Generalist): Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised Indian university.
- AAO (CA): Graduation plus Associate membership of ICAI with completed articleship.

Age Limit

This is where the AAO post truly shines. As per the last notification, an AAO draws a basic pay of Rs 88,635 per month in the scale of Rs 88635-4385(14)-150025-4750(4)-169025. Selection Process
Selection follows a three-tier process: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination and Interview, followed by a pre-recruitment medical examination. Prelims is purely qualifying — its marks are not counted in the final merit. Roughly 20 times the vacancies are shortlisted for Mains, and about three times the vacancies are called for interview on the basis of Mains marks.
