Vacancy Details
In the 2025 recruitment, NABARD released a total of 91 vacancies, broadly distributed as 85 posts under Assistant Manager (RDBS), 2 posts under Legal, and 4 posts under Protocol & Security Service. Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
For the general RDBS post, a Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD) is required. A Post Graduate degree, MBA/PGDM, CA/CS/ICWA, or PhD with the prescribed marks is also accepted. Specialist disciplines such as Legal and Protocol & Security carry separate qualification and experience requirements. Aspirants should confirm the discipline-specific criteria in the 2026 notification.
Age Limit
In the previous cycle, candidates had to be between 21 and 30 years of age as on the cut-off date. Age relaxation is provided as per government norms – 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (non-creamy layer), and 10 to 15 years for PwBD candidates depending on category. Ex-servicemen and other reserved categories may also be eligible for relaxation as per rules.
Application Fee

Salary / Pay Scale
Selected officers draw a basic pay starting at Rs. 44,500/- per month in the pay scale of Rs. 44,500 – 2500 (4) – 54,500 – 2850 (7) – 74,450 – EB – 2850 (4) – 85,850 – 3300 (1) – 89,150. In addition, officers are entitled to dearness allowance, house rent allowance, and other admissible benefits as per NABARD rules, making the gross emoluments quite attractive.
Selection Process
The selection for NABARD Grade A Assistant Manager is conducted in three stages:
- Phase I – Preliminary Examination (online, screening in nature)
- Phase II – Main Examination (online, descriptive and objective papers)
- Interview – for candidates shortlisted from the Mains
Final selection is based on combined performance in the Mains and the Interview, as detailed in the official notification.
