Vacancy Details
A total of around 936 Management Trainee posts have been notified across both advertisements. Under the CBT route (Adv. 03/2026), 660 posts have been announced across disciplines such as Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, System (IT), Electronics & Telecommunication, Geology, Industrial Engineering, Rajbhasha (Hindi) and Company Secretary. Electrical (around 221) and Civil (around 178) carry the largest share of seats, followed by Mechanical (around 145). Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Applicants must hold a full-time (regular) Bachelor’s degree in the relevant Engineering discipline (B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. Engineering) or equivalent, with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST as applicable). For the System discipline, MCA/M.Tech./M.Sc. in the relevant stream is accepted, while Company Secretary and Rajbhasha posts carry their own specialised qualification requirements. For the Mining track, a full-time degree in Mining Engineering plus a valid GATE-2025 score in Paper MN (Mining) is mandatory — GATE scores of 2024 or earlier will not be accepted.
Age Limit
The upper age limit is 30 years for General/EWS candidates, calculated as on 30 April 2026 (kindly confirm the exact cut-off date from the official notification). Age relaxation is provided as per rules: 3 years for OBC (NCL), 5 years for SC/ST, and 10 to 15 years for PwBD candidates over and above their category relaxation. Salary / Pay Scale
Selected candidates are appointed as Management Trainee in the E-1 executive grade with the IDA pay scale of Rs 60,000 – Rs 1,80,000, with an initial basic pay of Rs 60,000 per month during the one-year training period. Over and above the basic pay, executives receive Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) or company accommodation, Performance Related Pay (PRP), and cafeteria-style perks and allowances. Factoring these in, the approximate in-hand/gross salary works out to around Rs 1,00,000 per month or more, depending on posting location. Selection Process
