Vacancy Details
For the Agniveer Vayu Intake 02/2027 cycle, the Indian Air Force has notified approximately 2,500 vacancies for the post of Agniveervayu. Recruitment is open for both Science Subjects and Other Than Science Subjects streams. Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates from the Science stream must have passed Class 12 / Intermediate / equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English from a recognised board, securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. Alternatively, a three-year Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile / Computer Science / Instrumentation Technology / Information Technology) from a recognised polytechnic is accepted. Candidates from the Other Than Science Subjects stream must have passed Class 12 in any subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in English, or a two-year vocational course with the prescribed percentage. Age Limit
As per the notification, candidates should be born between 01 July 2005 and 01 January 2010 (both dates inclusive). Only unmarried Indian citizens are eligible to apply. Salary / Pay Scale
Selected Agniveers receive a customised monthly package under the Agnipath Scheme. In addition, a Seva Nidhi corpus (including the Agniveer’s own contribution, matching government contribution and interest) of roughly Rs. 10.04 lakh is paid on completion of the four-year tenure, along with risk and hardship allowances and non-contributory life insurance cover.
